Malaysia Stories

The One Rock Institute continued in Malaysia earlier this month with a retreat in Kuala Lumpur, covering training for our members on building resilient teams. Some of the takeaways people took from it:

Be consistent in our execution… Vision without execution is hallucinations… Building a sense of community… Alignment multiplies impact.

Remember that our work is for the One Man & He’s upstairs, not in the boardroom.

Staff with eagles. Despite the fact everyone is striving to find or be an eagle, it is important to remember that there are some days we/they are ducks and geese.. so don’t be quick to judge or eliminate people. Sometimes they are not bad people, they’re just having a bad day.

We had a team over from the United States helping deliver content, and one said this about the people he met from the Institute.

The church of Jesus Christ in Malaysia is alive. I am encouraged by your faith and how intentional you are to share your faith with friends and family, and your desire to win the lost. I can taste your enthusiasm and joy and feel encouraged by how you make your faith tangible, and your excitement to serve others. I also love how you shared so vulnerably and how God has met you in your brokenness. The North American church has much to learn from you in how you actively live out your faith.

Join us in thanking God for all that He’s doing through this cohort. And please pray for all our leaders on the Institute this year in Malaysia, Singapore, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Switzerland, the UK and the US as they make strides towards leading teams and organizations, and fulfiling God’s vision for their lives!
