Above is a picture of some of our new Rwanda Institute cohort, taken from last weekend.
The group of 20 gathered together over three days to begin the latest Institute out there, and be part of in-person workshops on Introduction to Spiritual Formation, Introduction to Christian Leadership, Jesus on Leadership, and Integrity.
Some of their comments after our time together:
“The methods used during the sessions were so amazing… the Nature of the Soul and the Cycle of Grace have not only been brain-teasers but also captivating… Leadership was a reflection and allowed us to learn based on typical leaders we happened to work with… in a nutshell, today was amazing.”
“My highlight for today was this statement, ‘Christianity without spiritual formation is Christianity without Christ.'”
“Yesterday was powerful and I learned a lot… I am looking forward to another amazing afternoon today.”
“If you and I are yielding obedience to God He can use us in His field and harvest many more of the sheaves.”
We have some fantastic Rwanda leaders in this group, including several teachers, doctors, business entrepreneurs, and senior ministry leaders.
Please pray for this group as they begin the course, that God would speak to them and equip them over our year together. Our first online workshop with them is in 10 days, when we will also join the group with our new UK cohort.
Earlier this week we also hosted a graduation dinner for last year’s Rwanda cohort. It was so encouraging to hear stories of how the Institute has shaped them and their leadership:
“I came to learn all about vision, and not about leadership, believing I was already an accomplished leader. I came to realise that servant leadership is not soft and not for weak leaders, but is actually the best way to lead.”
We’re privileged to be able to work with these passionate people, and help them each become even more powerful agents of the Kingdom through the leadership training and coaching. It’s going to be an exciting year for us all!
