Vision Stories

Over the last month One Rock has delivered a series of workshops in Far East Asia. Roundtables for Lausanne leaders in Japan, Kingdom City Entrepreneurs training in Singapore, MUI workshops in Malaysia, and more. Above is a photo from a session at the YWCA in Singapore.

Over the coming weeks our teams will leading further sessions in the Philippines, Ghana, South Africa and Rwanda.

All this is helping raise up Christ-like leaders to serve in every sector of society.

Vision Stories
Last week saw the final of our online workshops for the 2025/26 cohort of the Institute. Some of the visions this cohort are working on include:

  • Running a Christian music festival in Rwanda, creating opportunities to share the gospel and bring families together.
  • Going to Colombia as a missionary.
  • Extending Nairobi-based Christian ministries to other parts of Kenya.
  • Starting a professional daycare providing safe, nurturing environments for the children of working parents.
  • Using crochet as a gospel tool — distributing handmade items with faith content, and teaching young girls the craft alongside leadership values.

Other vision statements from the group are:

Disunity makes the church unattractive and immature. We help followers of Jesus answer Jesus’ final prayer by looking for gaps and bridging them, so everyone around us can know the love of God personally.

Do you know that many young Muslims have never had the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ? That has stirred my heart to be part of changing that. So my vision is to reach young Muslims with the love of Christ and the Gospel, helping them grow into faithful disciples who live Christ-centered lives.

Most Christian teachers teaching in public schools in the U.S. are struggling with burnout and isolation from like-minded Christians. I want to create a system where a community of Christian teachers are brought together and are ministered to in order for them to function at full capacity, so that then their students and the whole school at large can flourish again.

I want to bring more people to Jesus, especially the youth and children. And teach them how to live for Christ, by example, through Christian education. So that’s my vision. I’m a teacher, I work in a school. And I would like, one day, to initiate my own school as I pursue this vision of impacting young people, especially children, with the gospel.

I work in a library. In my community, there are many people who are struggling with their academics. So, as I attended this one year, I have run into this training that I should be a servant leader, where I can make a change in my community. That’s why I came up with this vision of making an opportunity where every child or every youth in our community can truly change and reach their potential ability in academics through readings, mentorship, and even improve their potential in education. Thank you. That’s my vision.

Please pray for the alumni from this course, as they pursue these visions and further the Kingdom of God across Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
